Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a student at her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for 3 years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students as well as part-time employment. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different route she could take. Lennox played flute in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. The main part of her role was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create The Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva, which was released around 1992. It was a huge success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album that was released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues, soul and jazz tunes. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The album is consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. is a companion piece to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. The Tourists gained some minor acknowledgement for their and Dave Stewart's work throughout the 1970s. The group went on through the 1980s to form the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career by releasing her debut album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of several hit songs, including Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album features the cover versions of some popular songs like No MoreILove Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with six studio albums solo as well as a compilation. |
